Having a bad day and its only 9:30am!

Well my day isn’t going well to say the least!

I received a phone call this morning from a company I scan my shopping for in return for shopping coupons which come in really handy for birthdays and Christmas. As I haven’t been scanning very much (haven’t had the money available to go shopping very much even for food!) they have thrown me off the panel saying they want someone who spends more per month!

THEN…I had a call from the next directory advising me that my debt was being passed to a DCA tomorrow unless I agreed to basically double my payment amount that was agreed with the CCCS  I called the CCCS and my advisor was as ever fantastic, very reassuring extra but I still feel so low, oh and to top it off I have to go and get weighed tonight and I’ve put at least 4 lbs on due to pigging out on (cheap!) junk food at the weekend as I didn’t have the money to do anything nice over the bank holiday and I was home alone.

Ok moan over – sorry!

Pixie

    Hi Pixie.

What you need to remember is that DCAs are quite often, scum. They are trying to bully you, thats thier pleasure in life. ( not all, but many)

Chin up, smile, know CCCS have it under control and dont let it get to you.

The other things a bummer, but something else will turn up xxx
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

    oh pixie

((((((hugs))))))). i'm so sorry you've had such a tough morning. at least the advisor at cccs was able to help you.

i always believe when one opportunity is lost another will come along. the clearing of the shopping panel job is just making way for another fantastic opportunity that will come soon.

i'm sure your day will get better. all the best with the weigh-in.

I have to say I found the debt collection agency better than Halifax bank. Not one phone call or threat since it was passed over. Others like Moorcroft are a differents matter. Wescot were slow but they settled for a reasonable amount.

  • Oh sweetie pie - I'm so sorry you are having a rubbish day.

Please try not to let the DCA stuff get to you - hopefully the CCCS will sort everything out for you.

The shop and scan is a bummer, but I'm sure its a case of one door closing and another one opening soon (as someone else said).

The weight thing is annoying, but I know exactly how you feel. Can you deal with facing the music tonight and starting again afresh?

*Its the 1st of June today, which is a fresh month and a new start. Can you look at things this way?

sorry your day started off badly Pixie :grouphug:

if its any consolation I was doing the shop & scan thing too & was told I wasn't buying enough either so had to send the scanner back, oh well at least we tried.

Did your payment go out to CCCS today? If it did there's something else positive to focus on, one step nearer for you! :j

And a birthday to look forward to as well! And a super cool pressie from SS!

And the summers on its way too!

Try to keep smiling & don't let the phone calls get you down, you're doing so well :)

    Hugs to you pixie.

With the weigh-in- don't worry, lots of people gain after bank holiday weekends. Make yourself go and let yourself get in the right frame of mind to get on track again. You can do this!

Next Directory did that to me last week too!! Haven't had anything from them apart from a letter yet so don't know if they are mean or not. Will be able to pay them off at the end of the month thoguh woo hoo.

    Hi Pixie

Just taking an alternative look at these things:

    1) This shows what a successful DFW you must be - proving that you can get by without spending shed loads on your shopping!

    2) You are in control of your debt, Next directory aren't and you are doing exactly what you should be by not bowing down to them and through being with CCCS

    3) You may not have gained as much weight as you think. Sometimes on diets the odd blip can actually help weight loss as it kinda confuses your body so as long as you get going again it won't harm your overall goal.
