does anyone happen to have a recipe for a savoury breakfast-type muffin that uses cheese and ham, for example. i want to make these with the kids over the weekend but am struggling to find a simple recipe with as few ingredients as possible as i want them to make them on their own. your help would be greatly appreciated!

Googled savoury muffin recipe and found these: I think that the last is the least 'fancy', but I'm sure you could substitute ingredients in any of them:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=306058.0 the recipe is in their blog and they've included the link in the thread. The muffins look fab and easy to make, and could easily add ham!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

No, no, no! Muffins should be mixed very fast, and creaming will result in stodgy, heavy muffins. Use websites from New Zealand or Australia, where cafes make muffins for their customers every day, or probably several times a day cos they should be very fresh. This one looks like a good one:

Just add some chopped ham to it.
(I should admit I haven't looked at all the links, so if other ones talk about fast mixing and say NOTHING about creaming, they may be ok).
Edited to add: I've now looked at the three starting with Delia. They should work but aren't they a bit complicated? My recipe is extremely simple, LOL.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
