Just picked up one of these myself and it's very good quality.

Argos are curently selling a 30-litre Brabantia-style touch bin for £29.99 (half-price).

The brand is Simplehuman and it comes in Polished Steel, Matt/Brushed Steel and Matt Black; it also has a five-year guarantee.

Great deal, I reckon! And it comes with three "Sure-fit" (read: stupidly expensive to buy) bin liners.

That IS a bargain. We paid a bit more then that for one a few months ago from BHS. They are excellent quality bins. I can highly recommend them.

I know this bin is cheaper but is it better than the Brabantia bin considering you get a 5 yr warranty on this one and a 10 on the Brabantia

wow that's a great deal - i have their lockable narrow one which is just plastic but it's excellent quality

You could buy two for less than a Brabantia, 5 years plus 5 years equals 10 years

Er.. OK, maybe that doesn't quite work, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

we brought this 1 last time it was in sale and it is a very good bin the matt finish is easy to keep clean

I have one of these and I wish I'd bought one sooner. Although the touch close mechanism has twice broken Simplehuman have been fantastic sending me out a new catch for it, excellent follow up service from them. Personally I think my kids were to blame for braking the catch by not putting stuff in properly! I would buy one again.

You can buy Tesco's own brand bin liners for touch top bins instead of buying the dearer Brabantia or Simplehuman ones. They are £3-odd. Or just use a black bin liner but I find Tesco's ones work well.
