What the hell?

I have taken a lot of time to get my Credit rating into the "excellent" bracket and about 4 months ago applied for a car loan with A&L. It was for 3K and was approved quickly. I was then offered the money by my father and did not take the loan.

4 months later and I apply for a 1K loan and am turned down flat. Same story elsewhere even thoughmy out goings are 350 a month and I earn £29k.

There has been no change in my circumstances or credit report yet I am being turned for a third of what I was looking for a few months ago. I wish these bloody companies would sort their **** out and clarify what it is that they are looking for exactly.
Whats the point in having an excellent credit rating when its seems to do you no good in any way.

Credit is getting really tight, and what was available four months ago may not be available now, unfortunately.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Jusging by your income/ougoings, you must have more than £1000 surplus each month? Probably 200 or 300 more, therefore you shouldn't really need to apply for a £3k loan?

And certainly not for a £1k loan? Something doesn't add up.
