Hi NID,
I did think what I've got probably is enforceable, but thought it was worth checking.
I can't honestly remember if I applied online or not, I've been trying to think about that.
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks,
JC.

I was sure I read somewhere about the addresses - can you confirm (cos I cannot find it anywhere) what the situation is with that?
Am I right in thinking you have a place, the bf has a place but he gets mail sent to his parents?
Please confirm the arrangements - but really you do not want to get financially linked to him - for obvious reasons....
Hi NID
I have rent my own place and my credit file is shot to pieces anyway as went BR in August.
He lodges with a family member who hates post going to his house.
His post now goes to his parents and he doesnt want them getting letters as they ask him about what post is rec'd (I think they have X ray vision)
If the relationnship goes well he may move in within the next year but still not sure yet as still a newish relationship,
Thanks0 -

Hiya
Personally i'd not link the two of you not at least until you're certain of a relationship - but it is up to you what you do, the letters will come thick-and-fast but he really does need to take time and sort the list out - if he wants help of course.
Alternatively, to stop it all dead in its tracks, why doesn't he go BR like you did and like you hinted earlier......
It may be the easiest option, start again so to speak..?2010 - year of the troll

Thanks Never in doubt. I will have a chat with him tonight. Hoping to avoid BR but unenforceability would be almost as stressful (and more riskier)
If BR is the way he goes then he needs to get his own place sorted first. No letting agent will touch him otherwise. Just needs somewhere where he can have his children stay over and feel settled.
Thank you for you help.0 -
Hi NID,
Thanks for your help so far.
I have written to my boyfriends Credit Cards and all is looking good.
I am now at the stage where I need to write my follow up letter after requesting the CCA.
However we dont really want him to receive defaults.
Is there a letter that sort of says, OK this is unenforceable but i will pay £xx.xx per month on agrement that no default is applied or intrest or charges?
THank you

Hiya
You should really stop paying and continue with unenforceability - defaults are standard, otherwise best to just arrange a payment plan if you want to avoid defaults - part of unenforceability means a default will be registered as you have to miss payments to get them to listen to you.
So up to you, if you want to make offers then sorry, unenforceability is not an option. You need to decide and let me know.....2010 - year of the troll

Thank you. I will speak to my partner tonight and see what he wants to do. I might write to the credit cards to ask if they can remove interest and chanrges and continue paying. Really not sure now :-) Thanks for your help and I will still be in touch about my creditors when I receive there letters. :-) Can I donate to you/this site? Your so so so helpfull.
Is this some thing you just enjoy doing for people or do you work for MSE?
THanks again

Hello Nid
Know you are really busy, but have you any thoughts on the answers to your questions I replied to re Cap 1? Particularly on whether I should write to DCA (?)
Pressure is stepping up with calls - possible may have been passed on to another one already. Related to CCA request? Nowt from C 1 yet - not even no sig letter.
Many thanks for your help
