OK, I've worked out my budget for this month and it is £200!
This needs to include petrol though!
Would have been more but for last months reckless spending!
Have phoned work to see if they want me to work on Saturday, just waiting to hear back! Fingers crossed! :rolleyes:0 -

homersimpson wrote:£200 should be plenty. It's a bit of fun but to make any real impact you have to take it seriously (I'm not saying you're not) but you can't rely on overtime to keep bailing you out- what happens if that stops? Keep the spending dairy etc. (Note for James- stop spending £3 on sweets:eek:). It's true all the £s add up.
£200 should be plenty but the petrol will be around the £100 mark as I drive to work.
I'm not relying on the overtime. Last month I knew what I had earnt so I spent it on myslef rather than paying it off the debts!0 -

homersimpson wrote:would it be cheaper to use public transport or is that not an option? - some people on fourm are paying about £10-15 per week for food etc so if 4 weeks in a month that still leaves £40 per month (£10 per week if average of 4 weeks in month). it's do able.
Nah it still works out cheaper to drive. Plus it's quicker and for example last Saturday I didn't finish until nearly 1am! Then it's a nightmare getting home!
The rest of the money is basically mine to enjoy! Doesn't include food!0 -
