Can I Tax Deduct Childcare if S/E?

I've just decided to go SE, up to Christmas I'll be paying for my son to go to childcare specifically so I can work. Can I tax deduct this?

    No, childcare expesnes are a personal expense and not allowable for tax whether you are self employed or employed.

    But you might be able to claim the childcare element of child tax credit if you qualify.

    If an employer contracts direct with a nursery to provide childcare for its employees then the first £55 per week paid per employee is free of tax and nic.

    I know that this may only be a minor consideration but you could benefit from the above if you traded as a Limited company.
