£10 worth of boots points when you spend £50

Here's my dilemma - went into Boots yesterday to buy various things and take advantage of the 1000 pts offer. - couldn't get half of what I wanted so ordered online last night - total spend £56 - 1000 points
Have just read all the threads and realised I could have used additional vouchers so I called Boots to cancel the original order however they won't do that - they told me I could return the whole order if I had a good reason.
My question is - could I place another order (would be mostly the same goods) and get the 1000 points plus say another 500 from on of the codes on the other threads here and return the first order unopened. The adviser I spoke to couldn't elaborate on what was a good reason. I'm mad at myself for missing the extra points but I don't want to end up with 2 Boots orders, one of which they wouldn't take back - oh and would I have to pay to return?
ThanksNO FARMS = NO FOOD0 -
u dont need a reason to return the goods, either refuse them at door and return or take into the shop n get refund (the latter maybe better as may not take th epoints off), yeah just order again u will have 2 lots cash running out ur account till u get a refund. dont forget cashbak. no u dont have to pay to return.SIMPLES!0

Please take care. Boots monitor this site and have identified individual posters/customers from the messages here. If they think you are returning items just to get extra points you may lose your advantage card and any pts on it. I know of others that this has happened to.
Just enjoy the extra pts when they are available. I think we have all forgotten to add codes, or go through cashsaver sites at some time, but it all balances out in the end.
Boots are fully entitled to take back all the pts that they gave you if you return/refuse the full order.
You need to ask yourself is it worth 500pts for all the hassle of returing the goods to the store and paying parking/petrol/bus fares.( I don't know how big the box will be?) Then explaining why you are returning them, you would need to lie to do this. My advice would be chalk it up to experience, and enjoy your order. Take care.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
The last time I went to the Boots Shopping Event I spent just over £100, and they gave me a voucher entitling me to £17 points for every £50 spend at the next two events. I'm not sure what I did to get this (perhaps everyone got it, or perhaps only those with particular patterns of spending on the ACs?) but I'll definitely be taking them up on the offer :j0

i'd never advise people buy and return stuff to get points, although if boots dont take them off its their own fault...................SIMPLES!0

Everybody got these at the last event instore!! They done it the year before so when I went in I asked if they are doing it again, so I split my shopping to pay for it in 2 transactions. Earnt over £24 in points at last one and got 2 500 extra points vouchers to use this time!! So this time I will have to plan out my shopping again to make sure I get to bundles as close to £50 as I can! Or might just use 1 this week and the other in a few weeks as by then I will be needing more nappies so can tie that in with my next shop!!0
