I adore cabbage, but hate the lingering smells afterwards in the house from cooking it .Any ideas how to get shot of them.I don't like using aerosols much ,they don't seem to work very well anyway and its too blooming cold to have all the windows and doors open.
I had bubble and squeak the other night, and can still smell the whiff of cabbage.I still have at least a big bowl of the stuff to eat up in the fridge:eek:
I think I will have to resort to perhaps lavender essance on the radiaators or something

  • I find if I add a little bicarbonate of soda to the cooking water it helps

Try lighting a match or two, the sulphur zaps a lot of smells.

A quick spray of diluted vinegar does the same, and the vinegar smell disperses pretty quickly.

Otherwise burning a scented candle for a while can reduce the strength of some smells, I often do this when cooking.
