Should I have told my lender?

Hi
My partner and I arranged a mortgage back in December (when I was working at a call centre part- time [I'm a student]). I put my income down as £5kpa (about right- I worked variable hours) I gave them my last 3 month payslips and the bank were happy. As you have probably guessed my partner earns a LOT more than me- hence our ability to get a mortgage while I am on such cr@ppy money).
Anyhoo....we didn't complete until April 7th and as it was in a different location to where I was previously living (and working) I changed my job a week beforehand (hence BEFORE our mortgage came into effect). As I now work in a pub I earn ever so slightly less ( about £500 pa). I figured at the time that since realistically the bank hardly cared about my wage since my partners far outshadows it, it wasn't worth telling them.
However, I wast just reading the 'I lied about my wage' thread on the loans board- it got me thinking....did I technically lie? If my lender had rang the week the mortgage was started they'd be told I didnt work there anymore. Was I fraudulent- or do you think it wasn't worth bothering the lender over?
Do you have to tell the lender about changes in your circumstances DURING the mortgage term either?
Thanks

The bank should have assessed your income reasonability - one thing including could you continue at same employment should you move - did they not ask you about your plans when moving to new property?0
