Under 10K Yes! Yes! Yes!

Hi

I haven’t been around for a few months, but a while back I was almost addicted to this site, always had the site on in the background on my work computer.

Anyway I was just updating all my numbers on my “debt” spreadsheet and I simply couldn’t believe it when I looked in the "owe" column the figure had dropped to £9965.

Getting down to four figures is a real boost and as I race down the final furlong to the debt free finishing line.

I can nearly taste what being debt free is going to be like. Can’t wait. I estimate by June 2009.

In 2006 when I added up all my debts and I found they came to about 35K I was desperate and didn’t know what do? I very nearly re-mortgaged again.

Luckily at that time I heard Martin on a radio programme as I drove home from work, and logged in to this web site straight away.

This site was such an inspiration that I took action and I have not looked back.

I hope my little story will inspire you to carry on.

(By the way I did have another name earlier on but I changed it as it was too easy to identify myself, so changed it to Ibex, so I have been a member for longer thanit looks).

Best wishes

Ibex

Well Done, reducing debt that fast is an achievement few are able to achieve or exceed. Good luck for the following months to get it cleared.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

I had a similar feeling when I saw under 1k to go last payday (my signature doesn't reflect it due to no overpayment option on my loan .. so I'm saving up for a lump-sum payoff). Under 10k was very motivational, too !

Well done! The end is in sight!!
