If you drive then yes. If not then I'd say depends on whether you need perfect eyesight in your day-to-day activities.
If your prescription is unbalanced (worse in one eye) or incorrect it may cause headaches and eyestrain.
Maybe wear the old glasses for a bit and see for yourself? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I personally would notice that amount of change greatly, however some dont, as mentioned above make sure you are above the legal requirement for driving and if you are happy at present then decide from there.Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais

I do get some headaches and eyestrain but that may be because i dont wear my glasses much apart from pc and reading. lately i find im needing them for more things like tv and general daytime activities. if i dont wear my glasses then by the end of the day my eyes feel very tired.

Sorry, but there is no scientific evidence that this could help and it could potentially lead to illegal driving.
To answer the OP, there is definitely a difference in the prescription. The only question is whether it would make a significant improvement to you vision. I take it the Optician took the time to show you the difference. That way, you could judge for yourself.
If they didn't, you could go back and explain your dilemna and get them to demonstrate the improvement.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I'd say yes to new glasses. I only started wearing mine for driving about 13 months ago and I've just had to had a new pair. I only use them for driving. As touched upon, if I wasn't driving I might have waited until I had a bit more money in my pocket!0

As for eye exercises...they can cause more trouble. I was simply 'admiring' a beautiful lady once and got a slap (playfully apparently...still stung for a while!)0
