Hi all,
Apologies if something very similar has been posted before, but I am in desperate need for some advice.
My father passed away in September after a short illness, ane he never left a will. After fighting to ensure that the life insurance placed on the house would be transferred to myself, we discovered that there is a £15,000 shortfall between the life insurance and the mortgage. Not having £15,000 to hand, I was advised by family that I need to obtain a loan. Even though paying back the loan will be straightforward to an extent, because I would then have a house that is fully paid off, I am deeply concerned that I will not be offered any loan because I have a poor credit rating (despite earning £1600 after tax each month). If anyone could offer any advice on here I would be very grateful. I am going to book an appointment with an independent financial adviser, but thought I would also see if anyone on here could be of any assistance.
Thank you in advance.
