Hi there again Snake
I saw you panicking over there in Loans.
What do you need this money for exactly?
If you post up your SOA, we can all have a look at it and see if we can find some cash from somewhere...Check out southern scousers "first time posters " Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hi Snake
A loan shark is NOT the answer and won't address the problems of why you're in debt in the first place. Do NOT even think about going there!
I can only assume that if you need 2K quickly then it's something to do with borrowing from these sources in the first place. Do NOT compound the problem further by increasing the debt. Get yourself to a Citizens' Advice Bureau ASAP and see what advice, legal and financial, they can offer.

Snake, if these people are dodgy then report them to the police. Yes, you may owe them money but last year there was a landmark case of a couple who had their debts to a loan shark written off due to the extortionate interest rates. Extortion is a crminal offence and they should not be allowed to get away with it.
I can only assume that the 2K you now owe is nowhere near the sum you borrowed... these people are scum and they make an absolute fortune by preying on the desperate who cannot get money from any other source.
Please go to CAB – they can provide you with some excellent financial and legal advice. I would also suggest you report the 'creditors' to the police...If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0 -
its got nothing to do with a loan shark however i do need a number for one

Do you mind me asking what you need this money for?
I cant imagine anything would be worth getting involved with people like that.0 -
Look, I don't mean to be rude here but I doubt that the MSE community would advocate the use of loan sharks – as mentioned earlier they prey on the desperate, and charge extortionate rates for their 'services'.
It is probably not even possible to obtain 2K in 24hrs by conventional [or advised] means but I still believe that a loan shark is not the answer. There is help out there if you wnat it, but not in the form of a 2K handout...
However, having read your post on the loans board, I have concluded that if you are hell-bent on using a loan shark there is little more anyone on these boards can do to help...
Best of luck.

i don't know any loan sharks, and i can't see that getting involved with them can be a good thing, but i just want to ask anyone who might be thinking of posting details of some on here, could they do it in a PM - I'd hate to see someone feeling desperate have easy access to that kind of information on this board....:happyhear0

You sound really desperate.......please dont do anything you will regret.
Good luck with whatever it is.0 -
Okay - it's not really any of our business why you want / need the money - so assuming it's for something genuine and legal - lets see if we can create a sensible tick list:
* Have you tried borrowing from friends and family?
* Have you asked your bank for an immediate over-draft
* Do you have any valuable item that you would be willing to take to a pawn shop for the 6 - 8 weeks it will take to get your other funds through, and then purchase it back (just watch the rates)
* Can you sell your car / down-grade your car to a garage
* Can you reduce the amount you need with any funds you may have lying around (£50 in a money box etc. / £50 in an old savings account - that type of thing??)
If I think of anymore I'll come back .... Good Luck!0
