When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Morning...brrrr, cold and windy here today, would rather be staying at home:rolleyes:

Just work and pick up DD2 from netball match at 4.30 today....nothing exciting for a change:rotfl:
Ok, let's crack on with my list:
  • check banking and move TCs to spends account
  • daily scratchies
  • free bingo tonight
  • packed lunches x3 to school
  • free cuppas at school:p
  • NSD hopefully
  • meal from plan - jacket pots, chicken
  • keep hpuse tidy
  • attempt some uni work:mad:
*Waves frantically* to everyone....thanks for the good wishes messages yesterday re my surgery....just wish I'd hear about when its goin to be now:o

Have a lovely day - hugs to anyone who needs one and WELCOME to any new posters:D

  • Morning All!! Hope your interview is going well Katy... let us know later how you get on.

Feeling much less grumpy today than yesterday which is good ;). Today I will :

Check banking/ update spreadsheet as necessary
Had my expenses authorised yesterday, so I can know properly work out how much is left on CC as I know exact amount coming back next Tuesday.
Drive into town to get veg from market and hopefully get a couple of Christmas presents from a stall that's on there.
Rest of shopping from Mr T on way back (just done short shopping list)
Get my work done before I go out
Still no heating on :D:D Nearly buckled last night, but as i was home alone, I just sat under a blanket and the cat joined me for 'free' purrable hot water bottle. :T

    have a good day all
  • Morning everyone

Good luck Katy with your interview. Nerves are a good thing so I've been told.

Sorry I didn't partake in the thread yesterday, I was in a training course and my head felt like it was going to explode.:D

Today, I'm going to do the following:

    - Daily clicks and onepoll surveys.
    - Store cupboard lunch and tea.
    - NSD.
    - Drink lots of free tea and coffee at work.
    - Not put the heating on. Instead I will light some candles and put on a snuggle jumper and extra cosy socks - yellow stripey M&M ones!
    - Check online banking.
    - Crack on with my cross stitch. I really do need to finish it sooner rather than later as it's a Christmas present.
    - Keep smiling and spread lots of up and coming festive cheer!
    - Resist the temptation to eat the two tubes of heros that are sat on my desk, they are 2 for £7 in Asda - bargain!

Keep smiling and have a great day.

    LMC xx
