Bankruptcy and self-employment

Hi guys,
I might be entering a job soon whereby I am officially self-employed. I am also considering going bankrupt just as I begin this job.
How will bankruptcy affect my earnings/status whilst in self-employment?

You can still be self employed whilst bankrupt. You will not be able to have a business bank account though, but my OH opened up a co-op account and used that as business. Your business will have to be in the name you went BR in, JOE BlOGGS. You will not be able to obtain credit of more than £500 without letting the other person know you are bankrupt.
You may have to provide management accounts to your Official Receiver so they know what your earning in order to work out a IPA0
