This might sound like a daft question but.......
I know in boots that every three items the lowest priced one is given free but do all stores work like this.
If I buy 9 items will the till work out the cheapest item for each multiple of 3 or just give me the three lowest from the 9 free.
My MIL is buying for the children on my behalf so I want to make sure she puts the toys in the right order when she pays for them or I'll end up giving her more money then I needed to.

at a guess, the till will reduce the cost of the 3 cheapest, i can't imagine it will do it in batches, or people will quickly learn to play the system, and there would be threads on here about it0

So I will have to tell her to pay for them in seperate transactions then?
I did wonder if boots were the only ones to work it out in batches.
Just hope she remembers:rolleyes:Kind Regards

With things like this it is always best to pay in batches, but you have to watch out if you pay by card because the till may not accept the same card multiple times in one day, might get flagged up as fraud. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Having worked for M&S and their 3 for 2 deals, the till always worked out the best deal for the customer. So if you had 3 £10 items, 3 £7 items and 3 £5 items it would knock off one £10 item, 1 £7 item and one £5 item.
I wouldn't be able to comment on Boots though. If you can’t beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.:rotfl:0 -

Thanks, boots just take the lowest one off every three item syou put through so you have work out the best order before you pay but I've never really shopped at other store that do the offers.
Just have to say M&S or boots;)Kind Regards

Boots will work out the best deal for the customer automatically at the till so generelly no need to pay for sepertate deals. Asda and Tesco, be careful and watch your receipt as if you buy mutiple deals it sometimes overcahrges you (but you can then argure for the discount card or DTD at customer services.)if i had known then what i know now0
