Pubmed is another search engine that might be of interest: it allows you to search papers published in (what are generally seen as) the better medical journals. Provided free by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, and without any adverts :)

I'm not sure that mercola.com classes as independent? Joseph Mercola - the guy behind the site - sells a lot of products on there...

I'm not in any way trying to belittle any of these search engines, but it can sometimes be useful to check on other sites such as quackwatch, if only to keep a lookout.

And what game is it that doctors play?

I believe What The Doctors Don't Tell You is also a very good one too. There used to be a fee for viewing this one but I think it's free to view now.

Is it not ever so slightly suspicious that this website just happens to be selling 'alternative' treatments alongside the anti-doctor, pro-"natural" articles? Not to mention the advertising of a homeopath/something-path "college courses"?

    :Thi all,

    theres 2 sites i use.

    ecureme.com
    ivillagehealth

both have self diagnosis tools, which are very accurate, especially ecureme.com , theres loads of questions 2 answer on your symptoms, and then you get a diagnosis, reg required (free)!! brill, def recommended.:j
