Hi guys, looking for recommendations for gym membership in Belfast. I live in north direction but I'm also a student at Queens so south is an option too. I'm looking for recommendations based facilities and your experience with staff/equipment and all that jazz.
any info would be greatly appreciated:D

JJB in Newtowabbey (called DW Sports now) has great facilities - they were doing a 6 week trial for £40 but I think it's finished. You could ring Paul the manager and see if he'll do something.
Fitness First on the Shore Rd is near there though it's smaller (and cheaper).
If these are handy enough to home then no point looking elsewhere - if you can afford it I'd plump for JJB/DW. It has a pool and you also get 10% off in the shop.0 -
Oooh a fellow Queens student. Howdy!
How about the PEC at Queens? They have some pretty great rates for Queens students that other gyms can't really even come close to.
The centre is in the grounds of Botanic Gardens.
Their facilities are pretty impressive too.

Hey!
Yeah i have a gym tour a few day ago and I was really impressed - the place looks amazing, plus its only 18quid a month. I'm on the other side of town, but if I'm up at Queens five times a week anyway, whats the difference, eh?0 -

Hey! Yeah I was a member of JJB up until recently, had to stop going because it was so so busy in the evening and becoming a nightmare to get to. But it is a brilliant place - great equipment.0 -
They have a few options for membership
I joined, £30 Joining (promotion normally £50), then £10 per month for an 18 month contract.
Other options available, all detailed on website.
It the old Fitness first place, loads of equipment etc.
I was paying £33 at LA Fitness at the Ramada, the selection of equipment there was small, although they did have a swimming pool, steam room etc. I found I wasn't using these so it was a no brainer for me.
As with all gym's they have a free trial.
Board wont let me add link, but just search for Fitspace in google UK0
