Thank you. I have just worked out that I owe about £12,000 in various places but my biggest problem is that my husband does not know and he must not.#I am dreading him finding me on here.

right ieo babes, i owe about £80 k which my hubby didnt know about in fact he still doesnt know how much we owe he doesnt need to know the amount sa its my fault he couldnt cope,
but i did tell him we were seriously in debt due to my stupidity, i was vomiting at the time of telling him i thought he would leave etc, but he didnt he said so long as we had each other it didnt matter, he thought it was something more serious ie having an affair! (only a man could trhink that lol)
what im trying to say is i dont have to lie or hide stuff now which i did ofr ages it made me so ill talk to him, he promised to stand by you through thick and thin, im sure and if you dont tell him he wont be able to help,
if you post all details SOA then some clever cloggs can work out your best option til then we are all here WELL DONE on the first day of your new debt free wannabe life

for richer for poorer and all that.

Personally, I go for telling him. Check out dotty annes diary, she was in the same situation. You are being proactive, good for you!!

hi ya, it was a secret for months and i kept borrowing to try and pay off it was a terribly mess, although he now know we are in debt and it will take ages to pay off.
he has no idea how much, i couldnt bare to off load that on him, after all it would make me feel less guilty when infact he isnt responsable for that amount even though 2 loans are in his name he did that to bail me out so i didnt have so much debt, anyway, can you truly not talk to him about it,he will suspect you of alorts if you use teh internet alot more chatting on here lol
i just think you need to let him know how the finance stands if you are to make cut back tehn he needs to be aware my hubby had to give up his and my sons season ticket this year he has had it for the last 4 yrs so i felt !!!!!! but he has been fine about it, he gave up smoking to so you see it all helps
    big hugs xxxxx
