I love freecycle!

I don't know if any one else has posted about this - (I've looked but can't find anything), but I've just come across https://www.freecycle.org - it's a fantastic way to recycle unwanted but still usable stuff by giving it to others who will use it. I'm offering an exercise bike that I hate (!) and am hoping to pick up someone else's leather arm chair later in the week. - You don't even have to swap! just offer or ask as you need.

Hello Mirtos, I'm a bit ticked off with Freecycle at the moment. I offered a high chair that was snapped up within minutes, then they didn't bother to turn up to collect, and this week I've offered a kid's bike, which was on for about five seconds before I got a reply, and again it's not been collected so feeling a bit disgruntled at the mo. It seems like you can't even give stuff away!

Oh no! Don't say that! Did you re post the stuff? I'll let you know how my exchanges go. Where are you based? I'm in London, so I guess there's more people to access.

I am a member or FreeCycle and i have had the same problems.

I offered a fridge freezer that was snapped up within 2 mins and it was arranged for pick up but the person did not turn up. I emailed them 4 times to arrange another time but no relply so i offered it to the next person and they are coming tonight fingers crossed.

I also offered a rabbit hutch that was ment to be collected at the weekend but did not.

And a man is coming tonight to collect a black sack of Mega Blocks.

I like the idea of freecycle i think it is a shame some people let it down.
