Going to get OH PS3 for xmas ...are there any good packages out there,the Argos one seemed ok but games dont look any good for 37 yr old bloke....

Me too! I'm looking to sell my xbox360 (purely because all my friends have ps3 - peer pressure) and I'd like to get a PS3. Any ideas as to where the best place to buy one currently is?

Am looking a ps3 myself 4 Christmas ..
Argos has a few deals but i was on ebay there today.
I seen a great deal but i really dont know much about these consoles.
Is this a good offer??

Prices of each offer would help.

The Argos offer is pretty good but you have 3 fixed games (£284.99?).
Game have the same offer (was same price but at £299.99 now!!! Gone up!) but a little more freedom on games (1 or 2 new release and one older release (each one from a selection of a few)). A bit better is you want FIFA, NFS, Uncharted 2.
HMV had a good one when I went in last week (can't remember individual prices but 250gb PS3 with 2 or 3 games and another 2 platinum games, including GTAIV which were 2 for £30, came to about £315).
One thing I will say is a lot of PS3's are being returned. It was on Watchdog 2 weeks ago. It's usually a pretty trivial fault but still needs a recall.

Personally, I'd wait until after Christmas...probably get some better deals.

Looking at the prices for FNR4, you'd be best getting them seperately.

TBH, eBay for something like a PS3 is bad. You have nowhere to walk back into, say it isn't working and expect a fair turn around. And the prices are high...you can walk into a shop and get better deals, customer service and haggle things in (like a HDMI cable or something!).
