IPA and nil tax code payments query

It made it quite clear on our IPA which bit was for the tax and that we should only start paying that in the first month we get the NT coding. It then gave us a start date of 15th October for the IPA for the other bit and we kept hold of that money until Moon Beever contacted us this week. We've then made the payment we held onto and set up the standing order.
We ended up with 2 months where we got to keep the income - before the start date of the IPA!0
