Credit report error, needs amending for loan

Hi,

I have recently checked my credit report and have my first late payment! (This is credit expert - experian). This is from Microsoft for some software I purchased and they were taking the money from direct debit at a later date.

Now the problem is, I updated to the new Windows 7, which doesn't allow me to have the other Microsoft product installed so I can't use it.

I only noticed this when I checked my report as they marked a late payment from my bank. I contacted Microsoft, they have refunded me and understand the conflict with software. However, they are unable to tell me about this late payment connection with my credit report, but I have checked this is for the Microsoft product definately.

My question is how do I get the late payment taken off, since it was money I didn't owe anyway (as I couldnt use it). It was my fault to not notify them earlier so please don't have a go. I just need advise of how to put this right.

I need this sorting for my currently business investment I am hoping to get.

Many Thanks
