I bought an Acer 19" wide-screen monitor from Amazon, although dearer than this at £174.50 it is one of the best monitors I have ever bought and well worth the extra money

Thats a very good price for 19" TFT. I paid a similar amount for one a few months ago. but it was only at a low price because I bought a PC!

I bought the same model from Dabs for £141.99 inc. delivery. Looks like the price has gone up a couple of quid (£144.49) but still a great monitor - I am very very pleased with it.

(apologies for not posting the Dabs price when I saw it, slipped my mind completely!)

I would get the 8ms AMW one from dabs for the same price including delivery.

This one from Aria has only a 12ms response time.

It might be worth noting that the AMW has a faster response time and has both 15-pin VGA and DVI inputs

any advice on the best place to get a DVI-D cable

the best place to get it from of course would be ebay. they have the cheapest ones you could lay your hands on.
