Hi Guys + Dolls (I'm not sexist)
I've had my interview with CCCS and have arranged a DMP with them cus theres not enough money coming in to go out. My debt free date is 20 yrs time
Now this is were I'm being nosey (thats if you don't mind answering). Do some of you guys have DMPs ? As I'm so impressed by reading all your threads + replies how quick you all seem to be getting rid of your debt. Will I be able to pay off more when I have it as I know I can save more?
CCCS suggested that when I have my wage rise (I hope!!) I could consider an IVS. Now I don't know anything about these so could someone enlighten me. What do all you experts think + Does anyone have one?
Appologies for being nosey again I'm just thick !!!
I must say I like the feeling of letting the CCCS deal with my creditors I may soon be able to answer my phone again !!:j
Thanks X

Hello B
im with the CCCS, they dont like you to pay more than they have already bugeted to pay unless, you have a wage rise, this is for your benifit.
our debt free day is far in the distance at the mo not too far away from yours. we are hoping when our lil one is at school we can you use the child care cost towards our debts, then possibly go into an IVA
IVA takes about £9k for couples to set up, and a minimum of £600 pcm has to be paid for approx 5 yrs usually no more than this, however if you win any money or are able to you will be expected to use this to pay off your iva i,e LOTTERY win;)
if you ask CCCS they will send you details on an IVA however these are not to be entered into lightly your home is at serious risk if you fail to make payments i think you can have a max of 3 missed payments
hope this helps
