IM annoyed too, especially as I went to see the head and asked if it was worth me applying! Oh well onwards and upwards!
Check you out Miss Sammy getting eyed upSexy lady!
It was so blatent it was funny....that kind of thing does not normally happen to me.....(he was driving a very posh mercedes too)
It is ALWAYS worth applying for these things Sally, just to get the practice in. Could you just ask the head why you didn't get an interview, just to see if it was your CV, what could be improved on, etc etc...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Definitely I got one of my jobs by being turned down the first time for interview but being asked to interview the second (i.e. they didnt advertise). First time someone with loads of experience walked it but all the other candidates were rubbish, when another job came up they thought of my application and invited me in straight awayI guess I could ask...bit embarrassed to be honest!
I'm surprised they didnt put it in the letter - definitely ask for some solid reasons - helps for next time!
Sorry you didnt get it though!0 -

in other more positive news, the handyman quoted me £65 for 2 bedroom ceilings painted and woodwork too... i said i would give him £80. I honestly thought it would be £150-200....

Don't be embarressed...just explain that as it is an area you really want to get into you would like to know how you could improve any application you make in the future. You will also stick in their mind as someone who REALLY wants such a job and may keep you in mind for the future.
Plus, a few seconds embarressment may mean the difference between you getting or not getting the next job.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
