HELP!! advice....
Got dragged out on bank Hold to buy a carpet at carpet right.
The carpet we saw was not in a sale, but the assistant asked the manager and he gave us a price. We like the price, paid the money .But today the store called and said it was not on offer . They want to charge us a higher price now...what can i do?

If you've paid then have made a contract to supply at that price, contact their head office and get them to support you.0

Absolutely. There are various stages involved in agreeing a contract but by negotiating in person and handing over the money there is no doubt a contract has been made and they will be in breach if they want to back out.
If you signed anything then read the small print and check they aren't charging you permitted delivery fees etc (it doesn't sound like it). Once sure of your position stick to your guns and insist on the agreed price. The law is on your side.0 -

I bet they wouldn't call you and say they charged to much!!! They are trying it on. Get the Managers name and tell him you will contact Head office, watch him squerm. It may be worth quoting the (sale of goods act) go to Google and type it in.
Good Luck, let us know how you get on.0
