me too i hate summer colds  At the tail end of it now, still wish it would hurry up and go. Just got a horrible cough now :(

Yeah i'm ill also.. it's worse that i have to force myself to pack all our belongings up as we complete on our first house on Friday so it needs to be done.

Not to mention trying to organise what we need to do it up and find the cheapest but best places for pretty much everything lol.

Still, it will be worth it in the end i'm sure. *fingers crossed* :D

Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but whenever I try to follow link to the completed crossword, I get a message telling me something along the lines of a new crossword being posted each day, then a blank crossword appears.

Sorry if this seems a bit thick, but should I expect to see a completed crossword? Or does the message mean that they have accepted my crossword entry?

BTW thanks again to claire DC for your help with the Java link (I'm sure I did press your thanks button). Could never access the crossword before that!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

As a fairly new user, I also wondered this. I thought the link went to a crossword where we could copy the answers from but it almost appears that the link actually completes the crossword in your account. Could anyone clarify this?

    Many thanks!

You're more than welcome hun.. i'm glad it worked.

As far as the actual crossword goes, i personally get it opening in a new window with another little box opening that i have to click ok on, it tells me that i have entered and i do believe it also says that new crosswords are posted daily (although don't quote me on that as its been a while since i've read it lol).. it then takes me to an empty crossword too.

The total london weekly quiz is still showing as I have already answered it. Is it just me or has this happened to anyone else. I have sent a email to pigsback to find out what is happening.
Has anyone on here bet on the ebay auction before as I bet for the magazine subscription one about a month ago for 1850 points and the sitte accepted it by then my bid was removed. Pigsback is claiming that it was removed due to me only having 275 points when I had 1854 points back then.
So has anyone ever entered one and it has actually worked or not. Alos the auctions always seem to go for high amounts and to quite often the same people.
And so people don't moan as I haven't posted a competition or quiz with this post. Here is the lastest new ebay auction which has just started for a brain trainer.

Every week you can bid your PiggyPoints against other Pigsback.com members for a great prize!

Already huge in Japan, this scientifically proven gizmo has been designed to train your brain via a series of simple mathematical drills. The result is the stimulation and enhancement of your mental power, making you smarter!

Simply submit a bid higher than the current bid and wait to see if you’ve won! Each auction will last two weeks.
    Current Highest Bid: 2365

What it should say when you click on the link is :

Thank you for your entry into the pigsback.com crossword competition. There will be a new crossword posted each week day on the site. Each day the correct entries will be put a hat and 1 lucky winner will win 2000 points.

Then there should be an ok button you press and thats it. It will then take you to a crossword without the answers filled in.

Quite a few MSE'ers have won using the link.
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.
