misskool wrote:Regular posters just add to the thread for the quiz answers, me, choccyface, myusernamestaken or whoever is around at midnight. finnerty has what is a daily updated post but not sure when he updates or changes it for the answers?
I am sure that some people find finnerty's daily update useful, too, though I subscribe to the thread, so that whenever a new post is made, I get an email in my inbox. I then click on it, and it takes me to the first unread mail in the thread. (I'm sure most people know about this, but maybe some newbies won't). If you do that, you don't have to trawl through the whole thread from page one, and you don't need a daily update, either. To each his own, I guess.misskool wrote:and why moan about that? when the toucan quiz has been posted multiple times, the visit scotland even more and well....let's not mention the others.
Quite agree about the other items being multi-posted.
Since my entire point was about the same answers being posted four times, I obviously agree that what applies to the midnight quiz answers should also apply to everything else. I was not trying to single out you, or choccyface, or anyone else! Why would you have thought that? I don't understand.misskool wrote:Again, it helps perhaps if people try to read all the posts in the threadmisskool wrote:Seems to have quietened down for today.
So, anyway, back to the original point ... Answers are posted four times in posts 13-17. You think that's OK, then? OK, that's fine. It's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. As I am to mine.
Terribly sorry to all bored readers for prolonging the "bickering". I just thought it was good form for the OPs to trim their posts to avoid the quadruple postings. Seems simple and obvious to me.
I never expected the Spanish Inquisition!!I'm not just talking about my wife, I'm talking about my LIFE, and I'm not just talking about MY life, I'm talking about everybody's life. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content, I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about God, the devil, Heaven, Hell. Do you understand...FINALLY?0 -

The reason we are getting them as clickthroughs is because they are new, and to encourage us to look at what they are offering.
I think the sytem they have is pretty fair.
Yes I agree its normally fair but not very fair to withdraw a clickthrough half way through the day. I don't even know why I'm annoyed about it - It's DH thats missing out not me LOLThere is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

Yes I see your point there, I didn't pick that up when I read your previous post. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
OneFlewOver...
Not the Spanish Inquisition. But just pointing out that what happened today in posts 13-17 is unlikely to happen as the thread moves on. Tonight's answers will be on other pages...
And I didn't mean to sound offended as I wasn't.

It appears that the majority of the midnight posters (me included) are female. I wonder why that is ?There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

The Visit London link at the bottom of the Home page takes you to a quiz for 10 points. The answer is Canary Wharf
