Hi, help much appreciated! DS is doing a school project on The Titanic and apart from all the usual stuff which we have already googled I wondered if anyone had any interesting stories they could share - maybe ancestor worked on it etc etc. Also was going to take him to the Titanic Quarter in Belfast but wondered what is there exactly, is it worth a visit? Is it free?:D and is it open on Sundays as that's really the only day I have to take him on over the next couple of weeks!

Anything you can throw at me very gratefully accepted (I hate these damn projects that us parents are made to do every year!!);)

I work in that area on a regular basis and it's a very popular tourist attraction with bus tours. The Americans seem to be very big fans!

My daughter is in P6 and they are learning about the Titanic. They had a school trip to Titanic Quarter on Tuesday and they all had a great day. There are video presentations etc and she came home knowing a lot more than she did before she left. A great day was had by all and her teacher was really impressed.
