I would only eat a Haggis that I knew the provenance of.

Apparently the ones which run anticlockwise round the mountains are tastier than the ones that run clockwise.

You can tell the difference from the lengths of their left and right legs....

Seriously though, I have a couple in the freezer from here, from a little 9 month 'jaunt' I had there last year:

Best black pudding and haggis you can get!!

Not so IMHO Cockburn of Dingwall has the best Haggis I`ve ever tried "They were Scotlands first ever haggis making champions"

Also while Charley Barley may make fine blackpuds to my knowledge he buys his Haggis in.

I stand to be corrected if I`m wong.

Thanks for all the great haggis recommendations.

I flagged up this offer because I have had Simon Howie products before. They are award winning Scottish butchers.

We got a Vegetarian Simon Howie one from Farmfoods the other week. Was surprisingly nice for a Sunday dinner. Not interested in what a 'real' one tastes like :) I know Morrisons sell them too.

  • I've never tried Haggis, but I'm very intrigued with how it originated.

Who would have thought that sticking some sheep's organs and vegetables in it's own stomach would make for a tasty meal!

    Your all crazy!

Everyone knows a Haggis is a small highland animal. Their appearance is similar to a Lemming but they have two legs shorter on one side. This is an evolutionary process thought to be caused by constant running up and around hills/cliffs.

At least that’s what my dad always told me. :rotfl:
