What Do You Do!!!

Options
Hi,

I have been a lurker for quite a while. Having taken lots of the advice on these boards i have reduced by bills by about £100.00 a month, food has been cut in half, and i a managing to increase payments to pay off debts (not too huge £5000 ish). So thank you to everyone.

My question is that although i do ebay and amazon, what other ideas do you have to earn a few extra quid, i have seen that some people get amazon vouchers etc, but what do you do to get them!!!

I have time to kill most evenings (no kids and a footie mad OH - Roll on the end of June!!:D ), so would be happy to spend time on this.

Thank you in advance (hope this is the right board)

Hi well done on savings you could try pigsback.com to get vouchers you don't have to spend anything just click on links once a week.

or consumer panels but they are slow earners and some people do mystery shopper.

Theres loads and if you have lots of spare time try a bar job there fun most of the time.

You can do on line reviews at Ciao as well as their surveys.

Also there are other paid surveys you can do like yougov. Google "paid online UK Surveys" and see what you come up with. Other people may be along soon to recommend more surveys/review sites as well.

Car boot sales? How do you feel about them? Needs good planning though re: weather and other events on the day/where to do it.

Also, not cash but you can collect points via pigsback.com to work towards the odd treat i.e. John Lewis voucher or Boots vouchers etc.

Some people babysit too, if you could do that?

    Good luck!

    Hi

Thank you for the quick replies, will have a look at some survey sites and look at pigsback, assume i can google it and find it?

As for working in a bar, grew up in a pub and worked for years behind the bar (not done for money, but for love!!), so I dont fancy going back to that (as you can tell i didn't enjoy it much - mind you if i got paid it might be different!!! lol).

Hi. Well done on your savings! I use the Egg Money card for nearly all my purchases as I get 1% cash back on these:

    http://new.egg.com/visitor/0,,3_78868--View_1636,00.html

Providing you clear the balance each month it's better than using a debit card as you'll earn cash back on all the small purchases you may make - £20 here, £40 there... it all adds up. Make big purchases on it too - such as home and car insurance - and, while the money in your pocket isn't immediately noticable, it's a substantial payback every year.

And it requires no extra effort which is what i like about it. :D

I do the occasional mystery shop, buy bits and bobs through Quidco, try and do as much overtime as poss! I also find the more time I spend 'bean counting' the less I feel like parting with it when I do go out! I started clicking on pigsback but only got enough to get my free piggy bank and then didnt bother anymore! Might have a look at it in a minute!

I make sure I buy my diesel at tesco for the clubcard points, every little helps!

You must look at the Pigsback thread daily. I don't bother with the comps but I do the clicks for points. We went shopping yesterday with £30 Arcadia (Topshop etc) vouchers courtesy of Pigsback.

Yep, check out the freebies board for the pigsback thread. Freefivers site is also good for clicking (see referrers board) and quidco is good, although I've only used it for free DVD trials as am not spending any money!

SO far I've got a piggy bank from pigsback, nearly up to first £10 voucher and have £22.50 tracking on quidco. I do the comps as it's just a few clicks, and someone has to win them!
