Promise finance - anyone heard of them?
Hi,
hubby has gone to yet another loan company - first plus , who then referred us to Promise finance , second phone call today , saying they could help us out by ledning us 25,000 ( that is total amount owing on numerous credit cards) and then they would pay off all our credit cards debts, but we only(!) want to borrow 10,000. they say they will call us back in 48 hrs
reason being hubby been off work since feb , health probs then operation then recovering , current income 90 a week!! 70 SSP and 20.05 a week from income support , mortgage due 443 on 3rd june , less then 400 in bank . ( outgoings - just bills are 300 a week) behind with gas/elec/council tax and selling what feels like everything on eBay.
1) has anyone heard of Promise or had any dealings with them?
2) we will definately miss mortgage payment , what will happen next? our mortgage company is GE Money ( I think they are classed as a 'sub-prime' lender) does this mean house will get repossessd? ,sorry if that sounds a stupid question but we have been trying to pay mortgage , thats partly why 25 thou on credit cards , withdrawing cash off but all cards up to limit
