Is it one of the older/cheaper Phillips 40w bulbs? I remember we received a load of these without even ordering them, as did some neighbours. They are ok, but really are way too dim for most rooms. Fine for a toilet, shed or garage but really not very good for a living room, bedroom or kitchen.

Also, this is an irrelevant sidenote but just had to be said: The listed site doesn't really care that much about being green....its a huge advertising affiliate network.
