    That's interesting.

    If that's the case, then applying to the CSA would be the best thing to do, IMO.

    CSA is only paid until 19 though, not 20. :o

    I've no idea how long it takes to set up though sorry, hope someone will have an idea ... although it is sort of like asking how long is a piece of string. Some people have been waiting years and still not receiving anything.

    Perhaps you could get connextions to confirm the full details on the form (it will contain your address not his dads) as that will give you evidence to present to CB office. The change of address on official paperwork should make it easier for CB to realise the dad is not now carer.

    AFAIK, EMA is only payable during actual education.

    Tax credits do not need CB to decide who is carer - it is just their first line of proof.

    CSA do not need either TC or CB to decide who is nrp and who is pwc - immaterial in your case at the moment as you will only get £5 due to his circumstances irrespective of how many children you are claiming for.
