What Have You Done Today That Is DFW Stylee? Tuesday 30th May

Any takers today....?

Mine are thin on the ground:

Got lift home from work (saved bus fare)
Took HM lunch (as always...scraping barrel here)
Found 4p on the side of the road!!! (2 x 2p pieces - odd!)
Have done some washing to hang out, it is very windy so saving electric = no tumble dryer.

I hope everyone else has had a better day than me....

Not much unfortunately. Spent money which never helps! But not as much as I normally would considering it was pay day friday!

Did manage to get up super early due to electrician coming round, did washing up in that time, had a good breakfast for once too!
Off to make myself some dinner now! Completely out of the cupboard!

Made pasta with a tomato sauce for tea, OH is working late and will stop up buying a takeaway :j Made enough for him to take to work tomorrow for his lunch too. Save him buying something from work. Ummm, that's about it :rotfl:

It's all a bit thin on the ground today! :exclamati

Never mind let's hope for a better day tomorrow.

Scholt...if you can take soup in a flask for packed lunch then I have the most easy peasy spicy lentil soup recipe (got it off the back of a box of Kallo stock cubes!) and it is yummy!

Here it is or perhaps have it for another day:
    • Soften a chopped onion, a diced carrot and a stick of celery in 2tbsp of vegetable oil for 5 minutes.
    • Then add in 150g of red lentils and 1 litre of stock.
    • Add 1tsp of cumin and 1 tsp of coriander (I used dried/chopped).
    • I also added a pinch of salt and some pepper to season.
    • Simmer for 20 minutes then whizz up in the saucepan with a stick blender.

    Makes LOADS!

Also, when I made it I had run out of celery so I substituted it with some white cabbage I had left over...it really was delicious. My boyfriend loved it as well. :D

    Not much for me:
    - didn't spend anything today as was at work
    - have stuck to my meal plan so hopefully no waste at the end of the week
    - had a quick tidy up and filing session
