Getting loan after recent mortgage
Hi there
I bought my first place this summer and am on 85% LTV mortgage rate. I want to buy a car and applied for a £5k loan but was refused. I have a completely clean credit rating and never had a late or missed payment.
Is there something which says you can't apply for further credit so soon after getting a mortgage? If so, guess I have just wasted a credit check!

no there isn't anything that says you can't apply for a loan after getting a mortgage
there might be many reasons why they refused you... maybe they consider you are over committted at the moment
I'm not sure what you mean about wasting a credit check ... what were you palnning to do with it otherwise?0
