Selling 2ndhand text books

One MFW posted about selling her 2ndhand text books on a web-site somewhere... it was one of the regulars on here who's studying a masters..

Without wishing to take the topics here off-thread, can whoever it was (sorry I can't remember your name!!) tell me where they flog them?

'Cos I started my Masters this autumn, and the cost of books is bankrupting me! And I can't seem to track down secondhand copes anywhere...:confused:

    it wasn't me, but www.sellstudentstuff.com is pretty good for secondhand textbooks!!

    Could have been Amazon? Or Green Metropolis maybe? I think it was kittikins thread that mentioned text book sales (could be totally wrong though - frequently am!)

    When I left uni in Edinburgh, I sold my books to the bookshop at the end of Chambers Street. I believe it is still there. I would guess there are similar bookshops providing a similar service near most universities?

    They sold these on to the next crop of students.
