Which Older Accessories will fit my new Kenwood Chef

Hi

Just ordered a KM010 Kenwood Chef and am wondering if anyone has a list or knows of one that lists which older attachments this model is compatable with so i can go second hand on them and save money on things like the mincer, juicer, slicer etc.

Cheers

I'm hoping i dont have to as i could see myself spending another £150 quite easily!
  • My understanding is that the 9 series (901 etc) attachments fit the modern machines.

The 70's type machines were 7 series (701 etc) and those attachments only fit the 7 series machines. So very old stuff won't fit but slightly more modern attachments that were the 9 series will fit.

BUT I've never tested this and you must make your own decision and don't blame me if I'm wrong!

Just found this on the South African Kenwood site (It came up through Google - appears each country has different Q&A).

My old Mixer is the A701A series, if I buy the current model, will my old attachments fit?

Most of the attachments are NOT compatible due to improvements and necessary adjustments over the years. The attachments that can be used are : Potato Peeler, Colander and Sieve, Citrus Press and bowls. Also, providing your model number ends in an A, i.e. A701A, the three main tools, whisk, k-beater and dough tool, are also interchangeable. The older liquidiser can be used BUT a new type base MUST be fitted.

I have an elderly 901 and several modern attachments fit it, if that's any help? I think as has been said above that it's the 7-series that's a wee bit different.

Thing is though if you buy a second hand attachment on Ebay and it doesn't fit, or perform as desired, it's easy enough to sell it again on Ebay. I've tried out several of the obscurer attachments this way and not lost any money on the deals. I didn't rate the juicer attachment, btw, but the hi-speed slicer (the big one that fits on top) is well worth having. Personally I would buy a new liquidizer just to have new sealing rings rather than possibly perished ones.

The KM010 comes with the liquidizer, but i am looking at the peeler & hoping it fits.

    Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email regarding your Kenwood KM010.

The only attachments that will not fit your machine are ones that have A7 at the start of the model number. You should find anything else will fit.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or problems.
