Can anyone help me and give advice.
me and my partner have moved in with his mum so we can knuckle down and save deposit for house. Aiming to save £30k at least over two years.
We live in south wales, and reason for £30k is because I have a default from approx 4/5years ago and suspect my credit score will be poor due to said default and missed payments on credit card and going over overdraft limit.
I plan to be debt free in a year.
My partner has a very good credit history, no problems or missed payments.
How likely is it we will get a mortgage? Also when you apply for a mortgage what do the banks look at? I know they have your credit score but do they also have your credit report seeing every payment made or missed etc?
Thanks in advance.

yes they will know all that as it will show on your credit report...They will know about all missed payments and where you have gone for previous credit.one of the famous 5

It might be worth getting a copy of your credit reports, that way you will know exactly what is on your file.0
