Recommendation for yorkshire pudding tins?

My yps always fail miserably despite trying many recipes so i'm wondering if my problem is the tins i have tried.

Pls recommend me a tin!

thanks

  • What happens to them when they fail? Not rising? or something different?

  • I use muffin tins and they end up lovely and massive.. also tried those stoneware ones a few years ago

  • Try the silicone trays they are great for yorkshires and you do not even need to worry about putting any oil/dripping in first as they never stick and always cook perfectly!

Do you mena you use no oil/fat at all when you make yps in silicone moulds?

My yps have turned out pudding-like or occasionally dried out. I presume they were dried out bc they were cooked on too high temperature and for too long...?

I use muffins tins too, with a little olive oil in the bottom. heat the oil first in the oven for about a minute then third fill tins with mixture. Cook at about 220 degress for 15-20 mins. Good luck!!

since I changed to a muffin tin my yorkshires are brilliant ( most of the time anyway you can guarantee if we have visitors they never rise to the occasion lol ) I have got a silicone muffin tray , always thought I'd have to put hot oil in it which would then get too hot and melt the silicone lol

Usually use a cake tin, or make toad in the hole! Also, make sure the oil has been heated in the oven, needs to be really hot to stop the puddings absorbing it before cooking - making them greasy.
