Hullo, I searched for a thread on this but if I missed it, apologies.
Does anyone know how/if home responsibilities protection will fit in when the rule comes in re paying contributions for just 30 years to get a full pension? And will the 30 year rule apply to anyone retiring after that date?
Thanks.

The 30yr rule will only apply for some aged around 46 or under but it wont make much differerence as you'll still have to carry on paying NI if you have the liability to pay right up until retireing and S2P accrual will need the full 52yrs in your working life to accrue in full.
HRP will be swapping to a weekly credits system and seems like it will work as per any other NI credit on your record does now , ie get 10yrs HRP and 20yrs paid Ni , you get a full pension.
HRP will now end at age 12 rather 16, and the S2P credit will be paid until age 12 rather than age 6 as it is now.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. Is there an (online) manual or something which outlines the old and new systems?Trying to keep it simple...

There are bits and pieces, but nothing that Ive found sets it out exactly, to get that you'll probably have to wait a few years until they've worked out how they'll actually implement the changes.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals.
