funny you would sing all their praises like that, especially as you obviously work for a company that sells/restores them. If you are going to be a spammer, you'll have to learn to bit just a tad more subtle about it! lol. Tondella I know how you feel, I've had a K-Mix for a month now. I wanted it for ages but now I have it I haven't had much cause to use it yet. Unless you regularly make large quantities, a hand mixer will cover all bases really. I'm between contracts at the moment and for my last job I used to make between 100-200 baked items a week and large celebration cakes for work members (could've done with it then!) but now it seems silly (and I feel like I'm cheating as weird as that sounds) to use it for a batch of 12 cupcakes. Though I will say something it does make buttercream light and fluffy. So I would ask, how much do you think you'll use it and what you would use it for predominantly? Hope that helps!'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0

I bought a hand mixer for £5.50 from Sainsburys,,,adequate for creaming butter and sugar for cakes etc, whipping up egg whites for meringue, all you need is a decent mixing bowl0

Love my Kenwood Kmix, I haven't bought a loaf of bread since I've had it. As my Kenny makes excellent bread. I don't use it daily but I do use it a lot. It was a very good purchase for me. Why don't you start off with a cheap hand held electric mixer and see how you get on. If you like it you can upgrade, if you don't like it you haven't wasted too much money.0

I have a cheap hand mixer from Argos which cost me around a fiver 8 years ago. It is great for everything you would want it for.
I also have a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer, which looks beautiful in my kitchen but doesn't get the same level of use as the hand mixer.0 -
I think Tondella made her mixer decison way back in 2006Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
