Bedding plants from 10p at B&Q

I popped into my local B&Q yesterday (Bournemouth - Castlepoint) and they had loads of trays of bedding plants for 10p, 50p + £1. The ones being sold for 10p had probably half of the plants dead but I still managed to get 3-5 plants out of the trays that were clinging on to life and they'll soon pick up IF we get some sun!

I assume this is national seeing as the weather has been so poor so get down to your B&Q and pick up some bargains.

Last year I bought loads for 10p, and after repotting them and giving them a drink of miracle grow they grew lovely. I think B&Q haven't got the time to look after them once they start to die so they just sell them.I'll have a look in mine today as I am passing. Thanks for the tip!

    I bought a £49.99 Canarian Palm at B&Q yesterday for £5.

A quick trim and it was as good as new.

Massive though - approx 8-9 feet tall and 6 feet wide, so not the easiest beast to get home!

    hello all,

yesterday i purchased 2 packs of hanging basket plants , 24 in each pallet , they were on offer 3 packs for £9 , seperatly they cost £3.98p , as i only purchased 2 packs , i obviously didnt qualify for the offer , but for some reason they went through half price !!!! £1.98p for 24 hanging basket plants !!! bargain i thought , not sure if this is just a local glitch or if it is nationwide , mine were purchased in st helens B & Q .

    good luck

Yep i purchased 3 lots of the £3.98 bedding expecting it to be £9 - 30%.. therefore £6
But the lady on the till said they ring through at £1.98 each ( which they did )

So they are effectively half price.
They have geraniums in them too ( which are usually more expensive or come in smaller packs)

The packs of 6 surfinia ( trailing petunias) are very good value at about £2.68 after discount.. They usually sell for about a pound each.
  • I got loads of reduced basket plants the other day (50p a tray), watered them and planned to put them in the next day. Was suprised to see them looking totally healthy the next morning. I planted a big hanging basket and a big pot, all for £2, really pleased.
Also went today and got the 3 trays of Bizzy Lizzies for £6. I have 5 bags to fill, I wasn't going to bother as I missed the deadline on bizzy plugs at thompsons, but for £6 can't miss them.
Can't wait for £8 my garden is going to look lovely this year.
