Frozen Bread Dough

Please can someone help. I have a breadmaker and more often than not I use the 'Dough Only' cycle as I like to bake the bread in my oven as it is on all winter. What i want though, is to be able to get up in the morning and put a loaf straight in to bake for breakfast/brunch. I want to be able to freeze the dough but am unsure at what stage I should do this. Should it be after it has it's second rising - or before? Should I shape then freeze and should it be defrosted in the fridge overnight?
Any advice would be great - many thanks in advance..

I'm not sure about freezing it but I have a few times made the dough the night before on the dough cycle, then as soon as it's done plopped it into a large greased bowl, covered with cling film and left it in the fridge overnight. Then when I got up I've knocked it back, shaped it, let it rise again for 40 mins or so then baked it. This might work for you if as soon as you get up you take it out of the fridge, shape it etc then leave it to rise while you shower etc, then bake it once your ready a bit later.0
