Just wondering if anyone has any advice regarding CDLs? I'm a MA student and I'm thinking about applying for a career development loan. The only problem is I defaulted on a 2 accounts in 2004/5. Obviously I don't have a great deal of money at present. Should I look to settle and payoff the accounts I defaulted before I apply for a CDL or would this just be throwing good money after bad?
Any advice would be appreciated.

The defaults will still be on your credit files.
You probably won't get a loan because of this.
