Too Much Garlic

Because pumpkins were so cheap I decided to buy a couple and make some pumpkin soup. I just used onions, roasted pumpkin and garlic and blended it all together with a bit of stock. The only problem is it is VERY garlicky. I wanted to use the soup to take to work for my packed lunch every day (need to lose weight too:D). However, it is so garlicky that I will be breathing garlic over all work colleagues during the afternoon.
Can someone please advise what I can add (if anything) to take away the strength of the garlic?
Worse case scenario - I will have to have a "proper" lunch and eat the soup at night-time (however, will have to make sure DH eats some too):rotfl::rotfl:

Add some parsley to the soup, or have something with lots of parsley in it immediately after the soup.0

Peel some potatoes and roughly chop and add to your soup - simmer until they are cooked and then fish them out...the potato will absorb the flavour like magic...if it turns out to be too bland, simply mash a few of the potato chunks and add them to help boost the taste:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
