That happened to me in the summer, I wrote to them complaining. Obviously I didn't get anywhere.
Their response was that the earlier you book the best price you are likely to get and the wider choice of accommodation you can pick (assuming you want to pay the extra to specify which lodge/villa you require). They also pointed out that the earlier you book the more choice & availability you have when pre-booking your activities - in other words they take your activity money earlier and keep hold of it!
It is all utter rubbish of course!0 -

If you are a return visitor they guarantee you will get the cheapest price if you call them and let them know. It's under their 'come back soon' incentive.
I have booked for Christmas this year @ Longleat for a 3 bed exec and it's now either not available or twice the price miles away from the centre - so it can work. ( I booked November last year)0 -

They only offer this guarantee if you book another break with them within 28 days of returning from your previous stay..... and then it is down to you to keep checking and if you find it cheaper then letting them know.
Given the fact their prices seem to change 3 times a day - you'd end up being a busy bunny!0 -
It does appear that people do check regularly and have found the price difference, so all I'm saying is that if you qualify you can get it reduced. I personally don't bother.0

Sassyblue: Brilliant spot. Have just booked Elveden for 25 Apr 2011.0

...... and I was just merely adding that you have to rebook within 28 days of your last visit in order to qualify for the Come Back Soon promotion which you mentioned in your post.
It is frustrating that CP's change their prices now so often, it was so much easier when there was just a promotional code to apply!0 -
Just go to CP in either Belgium or Holland, loads cheaper! We just booked up Feb half-term next week, mid-week stay, VIP villa, for €399, which is about £600 less then the UK park!!!0
