What have You Done Today That is DFW Stylee? Monday 29th May 06

Options
I had left over minestrone soup from yesterday for lunch.

Today I am making another HM soup for dinner (spicy red lentil) and having a reduced big, lovely tomato pave bread with it - yum! (Must go & start making that shortly).

I resisted BIG STYLE in John Lewis after I totally fell in love with a skirt. I could so easily have been another £42 in debt today....but I was GOOD! :A

Went to FOCUS to look for trellis top fencing but then left when saw the cost of each 6 x 2 panel plus it would be £15 delivery. I am now determined to find a cheaper alternative. Am looking online for flimsy wooden stakes to tack into the top beam of the panel fence....

I hope you all had some inspirational moments today...

Ive made s/c chilli, actually Ive made a huge s/c yummy chilli. Enough for supper tonight and to freeze an additional 6 servings :)

I also collected all my money off coupons up (which I normally loose or forget to use by the use by date!) and went to asda and did a great bargain tastic food shop, taking into account my menu plan for the next two weeks.

I did a food shop and bought everything i needed to do my food plan for the week, and am making a chicken and lentil curry that should cover lunches for five days! I've also dragged rolls and sausages out of the freezer to make breakfasts rather than pay for toast/muffins at the oh-so-convenient sandwich shop....

I'm just taking a toastie break from inventory-ing the cupboards to see what else I can do mealwise for a June grocery challenge.

Oooo, I feel all virtuous :)
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

    A good DFW day today.

Made canneloni for dinner - and froze half because I made too much and will probably have enough for left-overs for tomorrow from what I'm cooking.

Made bread - again froze half the dough (used to cook it all and throw half away when it went stale)

Made icecream - not DFW when I found out how much the ingrediants costed but I didnt buy anything else in the supermarket except some coke (on offer)

My lovely mother bought me some new sandals

pureed and froze some stawberries that were on the verge of going off - would previously have thrown them out. No idea what to do with them yet but no waste!

I made some bread today too - we're going thru almost a loaf a day with this HM bread tho!

Collected DD's little bike from freecycle so no spend :A

Cleaned kitchen with Stardrops (does this count every day? ;) )

DH is making dinner tonight and dessert so there should be left-overs.

    Hey jessicamb,

Could you make the frozen puree into a smoothie with some other fruit and ice?
